Physician Assistant & Nurse Practitioner – Urgent Care & Family Practice (Fontana, CA)

WPMC Urgent Care and Family Practice is seeking experienced Physician Assistant & Nurse Practitioner to join our urgent care team. Provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages with a wide variety of urgent medical needs, including minor injuries, acute illnesses, preventive services, and work-related exams.

Responsibilities

Perform patient assessments including history, physical exam, and diagnostic testing
Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries
Order and interpret diagnostic tests (X-rays, EKGs, labs)
Perform minor procedures (suturing, splinting, wound care, incision & drainage)
Prescribe medications per state regulations
Collaborate with supervising physicians and team members
Document all patient encounters accurately in EMR
Provide patient education and discharge instructions
Manage work-related injuries, physicals, and DOT exams

Qualifications

Current Physician Assistant & Nurse Practitioner license in CA
NCCPA certification required
Urgent care, emergency medicine, or family practice experience preferred
Workers Comp experience preferred
Proficiency in common urgent care procedures
Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care

Schedule & Compensation

Four 10-hour shifts per week
Evenings, weekends, and some holidays required
Annual salary: $135,000 – $160,000, based on experience
Annual performance bonus after 1 year
