Why West  Point Medical Center?

We will treat you with care, respect, and compassion.  We use the most modern and evidence-based methods of treatment which includes, labs, imaging, consultations, physical therapy, osteopathic manipulative therapy. We believe in Tenets of Osteopathic Medicine:,

First, do no harm. A thoughtful diagnosis should be made before exposing the patient to any potentially harmful procedure.
Look beyond the disease for the cause. Treatment should center on the cause, with effect addressed only when it benefits the patient in some tangible way.
The practice of medicine should be based on sound medical principles. Only therapies proven clinically beneficial in improving patient outcome should be recommended.
The body is subject to mechanical laws. The science of physics applies to humans. Even a slight alteration in the body’s precision can result in disorders that overcome natural defenses.
The body has the potential to make all substances necessary to insure its health. No medical approach can exceed the efficacy of the body’s natural defense systems if those defenses are functioning properly. Therefore, teaching the patient to care for his own health and to prevent disease is part of a physician’s responsibility.
The nervous system controls, influences, and/or integrates all bodily functions.

West Point Medical Center provides a more affordable alternative to  the crowded Hospital Emergency services and waiting to  your Primary Care Physician for weeks.  Urgent Care meets patient demands of convenience and efficiency, while delivering safe, high quality medical care.

You can walk in any of our locations and be seen. We provide regular health care, physicals, preventative visits, urgent care - all without any appointment

Why go to an Urgent Care?

Studies on the health care show that less than 20% of the population who have medical insurance have what they could call a personal physician. Of those who do have one, less than 12 percent of these people are unable to get an appointment for the same day that they need care. In view of this situation, Urgent Care is a very good alternative.

Why go to West Point Medical Center Urgent Care ?

  • No appointments necessary

  • Open late, weekends and holidays

  • Care is only a phone call away

In addition to the patient walk-in convenience, West Point Medical Center has procedure rooms for stitching lacerations and splinting bone fractures, a radiology department for X-ray services, Audiometry, EKG, Physiotherapy and other diagnostic imaging equipment, and a laboratory for onsite lab tests like rapid strep tests, mono tests, influenza A&B tests, pregnancy tests, tetanus shots, cholesterol tests and other blood work.

What's the difference between an Urgent Care Center and a Hospital "Fast Track"?

Humana Insurance web site has the following to say:

"All centers are not created equal, and the difference can affect your wallet. To reduce your costs, choose a free-standing urgent care center, one that isn't located in a hospital. These facilities are well equipped to provide medical care for minor illnesses or injuries. The only difference is the location. Your co-payment and other costs could be a lot higher if you choose an urgent care center in a hospital."

-quoted from Humana Insurance Company's Website
